SMALLER SIZE
SL-350 features advanced lithium iron battery technology to achieve a light weight, thin profile design. Measuring only 6.9" x 8.5" x 1.25", this UPS is well suited for installation in small spaces previously impractical for an ordinary UPS.
KIN SERIES includes two models of line interactive battery backup with smaller chassis for single rack space or shallow rack installation.
ECONOMICAL VOLTAGE REGULATING UPS
SRA SERIES features value priced yet reliable UPS technology incorporating automatic voltage regulation (line interactive) function. These products also provide 960 Joules of power line surge protection.
CLEANER, STABLE POWER OUTPUT and MORE FEATURES
SCV SERIES provide on line, double conversion battery support with models ranging from 900 watts to 2,700 watts. All models include front panel LCD display of function and power status, RS232 monitoring and control and optional external battery connection and Ethernet network card for remote control and management.

DOE ENERGY CONVSERVATION REQUIREMENTS
Summary
Effective January 10, 2022, the United States Department of Energy (DOE) initiated new energy conservation standards for Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS). Those standards apply only to UPSs that have a power cord with a fifteen amp plug (i.e. NEMA 5-15P). The regulation is strictly related to efficiency and how much energy the UPS consumes when not relying on the batteries for AC output.
Regulation
Electrical and electronic equipment with a rating of 15 amps or less can use an inlet power cord with a 15 amp rated plug (NEMA 5-15P). Any UPS with a greater current rating must use a power cord with a NEMA 5-20P or NEMA 5-30P plug. The recent DOE standards apply only to UPSs with a 15 amp plug. For those, DOE requires the battery charger and UPS electronics have a minimum 98.1% efficiency. The efficiency is related to how much energy the UPS consumes when sitting idle, which is the majority amount of time.
Enforcement
After a review of the DOE Energy Conservation Standard and consultation with others in the industry, Juice Goose is not aware of any stated or implied enforcement provision on a federal level. The states of Colorado, Vermont and Washington implemented this standard ahead of the DOE effective date. We understand each of those states has legislated provisions for enforcement through civil penalties. However, our research has not found official documentation or any third party reports regarding enforcement in those states.
Impact
The following products in the Juice Goose catalog are in full compliance with DOE and all state requirements: KIN 1000, SRA 20000, SCV 20001 and SCV 30001
Short Term – Consistent with our review of the regulations and actions being taken by other UPS vendors, Juice Goose will advise customers in Colorado, Vermont and Washington of the Energy Conservation Standard as we understand it applies in those states. All UPS products in our catalog will continue to be available to all other geographic markets.
Long Term – Juice Goose and our suppliers have initiated new product designs so that all models will conform to the new Energy Conservation Standard. Considering manufacturing and transportation lead times, we forecast completing that process before the end of 2022. We plan to make our current offering of UPS products available until then.
Competition
As of the time of this posting, not all UPS suppliers had published policy information on this topic. UPS suppliers who have visible statements on this issue have restrained availability in the three effected states and/or have recommended substitutes.
