RACK MOUNTED POWER DISTRIBUTION
JG Series
JG Junior - Power distribution shall be the Juice Goose JG Jr. It shall
have a 15 amp capacity and be rack mountable in a 19" x 1U space. It shall have 6
outlets on the back of the chassis and a combined master power switch and current
overload, secondary protection device on the front of the chassis. The AC receptacles
shall be oriented such that the grounding contact is at the bottom of the receptacle.
JG 8 - Power distribution shall be the Juice Goose JG 8. It shall be rack mountable in a 19" x 1U space. It shall have 8 outlets on the back of the chassis in addition to a thermal, 15 amp current overload, secondary protection device. The front panel shall feature a lighted master power switch. Additional features shall include a power surge protection across the hot, neutral and ground leads. The AC receptacles shall be oriented such that the grounding contact is at the bottom of the receptacle.
JG 8L - Power distribution shall be the Juice Goose JG 8L. It shall have a 15 amp capacity and be rack mountable in a 19" x 1U space. It shall have 8 outlets on the back of the chassis in addition to a thermal, 15 amp current overload, secondary protection device. The front panel shall feature a) two slide out light tubes that may be turned on or off and dimmed with a control knob on the front of the chassis and b) a lighted master power switch. Additional features shall include a power surge protection across the hot, neutral and ground leads. The AC receptacles shall be oriented such that the grounding contact is at the bottom of the receptacle
JG 8LM - Power distribution shall be the Juice Goose JG 8LM. It shall be rack mountable in a 19" x 1U space. It shall have 8 outlets on the back of the chassis in addition to a thermal, 15 amp current overload, secondary protection device. The front panel shall feature a) a color coded 20 segment LED voltage meter to measure AC line voltage between 90 and 130 VAC, b) two slide out light tubes that may be turned on or off and dimmed with a control knob on the front of the chassis and c) a lighted master power switch. Additional features shall include a power surge protection across the hot, neutral and ground leads. The AC receptacles shall be oriented such that the grounding contact is at the bottom of the receptacle
JG 11-15A - Power distribution shall be the Juice Goose JG 11-15A. It shall have a 15 amp capacity and be rack mountable in a 19" X 1U space. It shall have a total of 11 NEMA 5-15R AC receptacles, 10 on the rear of the chassis and 1 on the front. One front and one rear receptacle shall be unswitched. The power cable shall be 15 feet long. The AC receptacles shall be oriented such that the grounding contact is at the bottom of the receptacle.
JG 11-20A - Power distribution shall be the Juice Goose JG 11-20A. It shall have a 20 amp capacity and be rack mountable in a 19" X 1U space. It shall have a total of 11 NEMA 5-15R AC receptacles, 10 on the rear of the chassis and 1 on the front. One front and one rear receptacle shall be unswitched. The power cable shall be 15 feet long. The AC receptacles shall be oriented such that the grounding contact is at the bottom of the receptacle.
RM Series
RM 115 - Power distribution shall be the RM 115 from Emerson Network Power. It
shall have a 15 amp capacity and be rack mountable in a 19" X 1U space. It shall have
a total of 12 NEMA 5-15R AC receptacles, 10 on the rear of the chassis and 2 on the front.
The power cable shall be 15 feet long. The main power switch on the front of the chassis
shall be protected from accidental turn on by a plastic cover. Peak surge current capacity
shall equal or exceed 40kA. Maximum AC line filtration shall be 60dB. A multiple function
power meter shall report volts, amps, watts, frequency, power factor, power consumption
and elapsed time.
RM 120 - Power distribution shall be the RM 120 from Emerson Network Power. It shall have a 20 amp capacity and be rack mountable in a 19" X 1U space. It shall have a total of 12 NEMA 5-20R AC receptacles, 10 on the rear of the chassis and 2 on the front. The power cable shall be 15 feet long. The main power switch on the front of the chassis shall be protected from accidental turn on by a plastic cover. Peak surge current capacity shall equal or exceed 40kA. Maximum AC line filtration shall be 60dB. A multiple function power meter shall report volts, amps, watts, frequency, power factor, power consumption and elapsed time.
HYBRID AC FILTER & SURGE PROTECTION
RX Series
RX 15-DPC AC line protection shall be the Juice Goose RX 15-DPC Hybrid AC Power Filter. This unit shall have 9 AC outlets and a 5 foot power cord for attachment to an AC outlet installed in a wall or similar surface. This device shall have nominal maximum power surge let through of 10 volts on normal mode and 0.5 volts on common mode without producing contaminating voltage on the ground lead. High frequency AC filtration shall be equal to or better than 60 db on normal mode and 80 db on common mode. Other features shall include over voltage and wiring fault shut down. This line protection shall have a 15 amp capacity.
RX 10-SCS AC line protection shall be the Juice Goose RX 10-SCS Hybrid AC Power Filter. This unit shall be an AC power extension cord with NEMA 5/15P on one end and NEMA 5/15R on the other and shall have nominal maximum power surge let through of 10 volts on normal mode and 0.5 volts on common mode without producing contaminating voltage on the ground lead. High frequency AC filtration shall be equal to or better than 60 db on normal mode and 80 db on common mode. Other features shall include over voltage and wiring fault shut down. This line protection shall have a 10 amp capacity.
RX 100-RM AC power distribution and protection shall be the Juice Goose RX 100-RM Hybrid AC Power Filter. This unit shall have be rack mountable in a 19" X 1U space. It shall have a total of 7 NEMA 5-15R AC receptacles on the rear of the chassis plus one receptacle on the front. Power protection shall have nominal maximum power surge let through of 10 volts on normal mode and 0.5 volts on common mode without producing contaminating voltage on the ground lead. High frequency AC filtration shall be equal to or better than 60 db on normal mode and 80 db on common mode. The front, bottom and back of the chassis shall be formed from a single piece of steel and the rack mounting brackets shall be reinforced steel. Other features shall include over voltage and wiring fault shut down.
CUSTOM MULTIPLE CIRCUIT POWER DISTRIBUTION
PD Series
PD 1A - Power distribution inside the rack shall be the Juice Goose
PD1A, multiple circuit vertical power strip. It shall contain 12 NEMA5-20P duplex
receptacles. It shall contain ____ twenty amp circuits. Isolated ground receptacles need
(not) be provided. The wire harness shall be _____ feet long and exit the (top) (bottom)
of the chassis. The circuits shall be connected to the receptacles in the following
manner:

POWER SEQUENCING AND REMOTE CONTROL
CQ Series
CQR 1500 Rack mounted electric power sequencer shall be the Juice Goose CQR 1500. It shall feature one unswitched AC receptacle plus three duplex receptacles which will turn on and off in three sequence steps on a single 15 amp circuit. It shall not require a remote control device to operate but shall be capable of being activated by a remote, latching contact closure. The sequencer shall have an override switch to turn on the unit in the event of failure of the main control circuit. Actual current switching shall be by way of mechanical relays of a minimum 30 amp rating. It shall also have LED indications that each sequence event is completed.
CQ 1520 Rack mounted electric power sequencer shall be the Juice Goose CQ 1520. It shall feature one unswitched AC receptacle plus three twenty amp duplex receptacles which will turn on and off in three sequence steps on a single 20 amp circuit. It shall not require a remote control device to operate but shall be capable of being activated by a remote, latching contact closure. This device shall also be capable of triggering other similar power activation devices. The sequencer shall have an override switch to turn on the unit in the event of failure of the main control circuit. Actual current switching shall be by way of mechanical relays of a minimum 30 amp rating. It shall also have LED indications that each sequence event is completed. Interconnection of this unit with other sequencers or trigger devices shall be by way of RJ45 cables and connectors.
CQ 2000 Electric power sequencer shall be the Juice Goose CQ 2000. It shall feature one twenty amp duplex receptacle which will turn on and off on a single 20 amp circuit. It shall not require a remote control device to operate but shall be capable of being activated by a remote, latching contact closure. This device shall also be capable of triggering other similar power activation devices. The sequencer shall have an override switch to turn on the unit in the event of failure of the main control circuit. Actual current switching shall be by way of a mechanical relay of a minimum 30 amp rating. It shall also have an LED indication that the sequence event is completed. Interconnection of this unit with other sequencers or trigger devices shall be by way of RJ45 cables and connectors.
CQ 2200 Electric power sequencer shall be the Juice Goose CQ 2200. It shall feature two twenty amp duplex receptacle which will turn on and off in two sequence steps on a single 20 amp circuit. It shall not require a remote control device to operate but shall be capable of being activated by a remote, latching contact closure. This device shall also be capable of triggering other similar power activation devices. The sequencer shall have an override switch to turn on the unit in the event of failure of the main control circuit. Actual current switching shall be by way of two mechanical relays of a minimum 30 amp rating. It shall also have LED indications that each sequence event is completed. Interconnection of this unit with other sequencers or trigger devices shall be by way of RJ45 cables and connectors.
CQ 3000 Electric power sequencer shall be the Juice Goose CQ 3000. It shall feature one thirty amp twist lock receptacle (NEMA L5-30R) which will turn on and off on a single 30 amp circuit. It shall not require a remote control device to operate but shall be capable of being activated by a remote, latching contact closure. This device shall also be capable of triggering other similar power activation devices. The sequencer shall have an override switch to turn on the unit in the event of failure of the main control circuit. Actual current switching shall be by way of one mechanical relay with two, parallel 30 amp rated circuit paths. The relay shall have silver cadmium contacts. The sequencer shall also have LED indications that the sequence event is completed. Interconnection of this unit with other sequencers or trigger devices shall be by way of RJ45 cables and connectors.
CQ PD1-4 Rack mounted electric power sequencer shall be the Juice Goose CQ PD1-4. It shall feature four twenty amp duplex receptacles which will turn on and off in four sequence steps, each on an individual 20 amp circuit. Power input connections shall be by a four foot wire harness which shall exit from the top of the unit. The sequencer shall not require a remote control device to operate but shall be capable of being activated by a remote, latching contact closure. This device shall also be capable of triggering other similar power activation devices. The sequencer shall have an override switch to turn on the unit in the event of failure of the main control circuit. Actual current switching shall be by way of mechanical relays of a minimum 30 amp rating. Interconnection of this unit with other sequencers or trigger devices shall be by way of RJ45 cables and connectors.
RC5 Remote control and monitoring of the power sequencing device shall be by way of Juice Goose model RC5. This device shall be mountable in a rack or on a wall or panel and shall provide a method for sequencing the AC power system up, sequencing it down or pausing it in either process. It shall require no secondary power supply. In a typical power sequencing system the remote control shall be connected only to a first power sequencing device and shall be the initial step in activating the system. Selection of a particular remote control model shall be determined by specific security and convenience requirements. In cases where access to the remote control location is limited to only authorized personnel, the model may be one with a rotary switch. In cases where the remote control location is available to unauthorized individuals a key switch remote control device shall be used. The remote control device shall feature lighted indicators for system operation and system status.
iP 1520 Rack mounted web based power control shall be the Juice Goose iP1520. This unit shall be a twenty amp power distribution module which can be controlled via Ethernet or RS 232 commands. The unit shall feature three individually addressable duplex receptacles on the back of the chassis, each able to be turned on and off independently of the others. Web based graphic interface included in the on board web server shall control power on and off and report the status of each duplex and the current load placed on it in a range from 0.20 amps to 20.0 amps. Similar control and monitoring shall be possible via RS232 protocol.
The power cycle feature shall reboot a network router and/or modem. When enabled, a power cycle feature shall check for network connection on a periodic basis by pinging a designated web site. If that ping is unsuccessful for a predetermined number of attempts the power distribution module shall automatically turn off and on power to Pod No. 1.
There shall be two over ride switches on the front of the chassis. One will cause a sequence up in the event external network connection is lost. The other will provide a short to the coils on each power relay to turn all outlets on in the event of an internal electronics failure.
